Here's what's impacting our World, as well as press coverage, company news, and a glimpse of our social side.
27th Aug, 2013 Elevate Me with 02 and Reading Borough Council
Waters Creative was recently invited by a long standing client, project management company empirical, to join an exciting and innovative partnership project which also involves Reading Borough Council and leading mobile network provider 02.
The project, initiated by the Council through the O2 Future Fund, focuses on the development of a set of resources for young people to help them access training, employment advice and general support in order to address the growing issue of young NEETS (Not in, Education, Employment or Training). The potential reach of these resources is vast as there are currently more than one million young people in the UK in this situation.
Over the past year, work has been underway to lay the foundations for a launch of a trial version of the service and Waters Creative has been invited to develop an interactive, mobile accessible website as part of the initial phase and, going forward, contribute to an audience suitable app. The aim through the mobile site is to offer a single point of access to the wide range of opportunities that are available to help young people progress towards or obtain employment.
To enable all of the above, the module that provides this information to the customer is the Waters Content Management System (WCMS) providing functionality that supports the production and maintenance of the static information by a small team of authors and editors.
We are delighted to be associated with this partnership and to have been recommended by empirical based on our track record for flexibility, innovation and creativity.
