This year's winners of Technium Challenge, the UK-wide competition aimed at generating inward investment for Wales, has confirmed plans to create new jobs in Wales.
Bristol-based web and mobile start up company, Loccit, has scooped the Technium Challenge Prize for Business Innovation and has immediately set its sights on setting up a base in one of Wales' world-class Technium incubation centres with a view to increasing staff numbers threefold by the first quarter of 2011.

The decision of Pembrokeshire County Council's Planning Committee to approve Wear Point Wind Farm near Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire is welcomed by Technium Pembrokeshire based Infinergy. When constructed the project will add enough green power to the grid to supply just over 5,500 households each year, the equivalent of 11% of homes in Pembrokeshire.

Visit Technium Sustainable Technologies at Baglan Energy park from Monday 2nd August to Friday 6th August. For the duration of this week, Technium will open its doors to anybody interested in finding out more about the centre. The centre will be open from 9am to 5pm each day with late opening until 7:30pm on the Wednesday.
