Transforming detailed corporate and financial information into a clear, engaging and fully accessible bilingual report
We worked with Transport for Wales to design and produce their annual report and financial statements in both English and Welsh.
The report needed to communicate corporate, operational and financial information while remaining clear, engaging and easy to navigate. It also had to reflect the established Transport for Wales brand, maintain complete accuracy across both language versions and provide an accessible experience for every reader.
Through considered editorial design, bespoke information graphics, photography, charts and carefully structured financial statements, we created a cohesive report that brings together detailed reporting and engaging visual storytelling.
Accessibility was considered throughout the design and production process rather than being added after the visual design had been completed.
Both the English and Welsh digital reports were created as fully accessible PDFs in accordance with WCAG AA standards. The document structure, content order and navigation were carefully considered to support people using screen readers and other assistive technologies.

Welsh and English content can vary considerably in length, so each version required careful typesetting and individual consideration. Page layouts, tables, headings and information graphics were adjusted where necessary to ensure both reports remained clear, balanced and visually consistent.
